(Baonghean) - The Department of Education and Training recently held the opening ceremony of the 16th Phu Dong Sports Festival, Cluster 1, 2014 at the Do Luong District Central Stadium.

Nearly 400 student athletes from schools in six districts, including Ky Son, Tuong Duong, Con Cuong, Anh Son, Tan Ky, and Do Luong, participated. Over three days, from February 16th to 18th, 2014, they competed in six sports: football, volleyball, table tennis, badminton, sepak takraw, and chess.

The sports festival is an opportunity for students to interact, compete, and improve their health to support their studies. It also fosters solidarity among students from schools in different districts and allows the education sector to identify and nurture talented athletes, providing them with the potential to become athletes for the province and the nation in the future.
