The Nghe An Provincial Police and Border Guard Command launched the Spring Tree Planting Festival in the Year of the Horse.
(Baonghean.vn) -On February 7th (the 8th day of the first lunar month), units of the Provincial Police and Provincial Border Guard launched the Spring Tree Planting Festival of the Year of the Horse 2014.
The Party Committee and Board of Directors of the Provincial Police Department organized the launching ceremony of "Tree Planting Festival - Forever Remembering Uncle Ho" in the Spring of Giap Ngo 2014 at the tomb of Mrs. Hoang Thi Loan - the mother of Uncle Ho. Major General Nguyen Xuan Lam - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Provincial Police Department, presided over the ceremony.

Joining in the vibrant emulation movement, and together with the entire Party, people, and army nationwide in welcoming the Year of the Horse 2014, the Party Committee and Board of Directors of the Nghe An Provincial Police Department, along with leaders of various departments and youth union members, planted more than 70 black star trees at the tomb of Mrs. Hoang Thi Loan, the mother of President Ho Chi Minh. This is an annual activity of the officers and soldiers of the Nghe An Provincial Police Department, with practical significance demonstrating their determination to seriously implement President Ho Chi Minh's teachings. It is also a concrete action to protect forests and preserve the living environment, while promoting the study and emulation of Ho Chi Minh's moral example, contributing to "making the country ever more prosperous."
After planting the trees, the delegation of police officers from Nghe An province laid flowers and offered incense at the tomb of Mrs. Ha Thi Hy - President Ho Chi Minh's grandmother; and the tomb of Mrs. Hoang Thi Loan - President Ho Chi Minh's mother.

Following the principle of "planting a tree that will survive," selecting suitable, healthy, and high-quality tree species, and taking advantage of favorable weather conditions, after the launching ceremony, 500 casuarina trees and 100 fruit trees including mangoes, longan, and coconuts were planted by officers and soldiers of the Nghe An Border Guard in coordination with Cua Lo 2 High School in the grounds of the Cua Lo - Ben Thuy Port Border Guard Station, contributing to creating a green, clean, and beautiful environment for the unit and acting as a wave barrier.
On this occasion, the Provincial Border Guard Command launched a campaign encouraging all officers and soldiers of units along the two border lines of the province to actively participate in the Spring Tree Planting Festival of the Year of the Horse 2014, in conjunction with the movement to build regular, green, clean, and beautiful units.
