Provincial Border Guard inaugurated and handed over gratitude houses

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of January 20, 2014, the Party Committee - Command of the Border Guard of Nghe An organized the inauguration ceremony and handed over the house of gratitude to member Ho Thi Truc. Attending the ceremony were representatives of the Provincial Border Guard Command, the Provincial Border Guard Women's Union and representatives of residential group No. 9, Hoa Tien hamlet, Hung Loc commune, Vinh city, Nghe An.

Ms. Ho Thi Truc - a female member, a soldier working at the Nghe An Border Guard, is currently living in a damaged, makeshift house that does not ensure living conditions and accommodation. In this situation, the Vietnam Border Guard Women's Union mobilized donations and support from organizations and benefactors for 50 million VND to help Ms. Truc repair the house she is living in. During the construction process, members of the Nghe An Border Guard Women's Union provided both material and spiritual support to help with the repair and renovation of the house.

The total cost of completing the house is 100 million VND. Speaking at the ceremony, Lieutenant Colonel Le Nhu Cuong, Deputy Chief of Political Affairs of Nghe An Border Guard, emphasized: This is a practical project to celebrate the 25th anniversary of "National Border Guard Day" and the 55th anniversary of the Border Guard's tradition (March 3, 1959 - March 3, 2014); the project also demonstrates the morality of "remembering the source of water when drinking water", "loving others as you love yourself" and the spirit of mutual love of the Vietnamese people, promoting solidarity, mutual assistance and the tradition of the army and the Border Guard.

At the ceremony, the Executive Committee of the Provincial Border Guard Women's Union presented Ms. Ho Thi Truc with a television and many other meaningful gifts.
