During the 4-day training, the trainees were imparted knowledge and experience in improving the capacity of organizing prevention, as well as rescue skills for people when natural disasters and floods occur. Not only is it the main force implementing the 4-on-the-spot motto, carrying out the evacuation, rescue and relief of people during storms and floods, it will also be the core force in training, imparting knowledge and skills to members of the local rescue and relief team, as well as contributing to raising awareness in natural disaster prevention for people in their locality.

As one of the major programs of the Central Disaster Prevention Support Fund to join hands with the people of 14 coastal provinces in the Central region to proactively prevent and overcome storms and floods, up to now, 13 training courses have been implemented with more than 500 students from 65 communes in the Central region. In addition to the training, with funding from Saigon Beer-Alcohol-Beverage Corporation (Sabeco) and Hanoi General Import-Export Joint Stock Company (Geleximco), this time the Fund has also equipped 5 shock teams in Nghe An with 10 rescue boats, 50 life buoys, 150 life jackets and 10 portable loudspeakers to ensure rescue and relief for people in the upcoming flood season.

As planned, in 2014, the Central Disaster Prevention Support Fund will continue to provide equipment to organize training courses in Ha Tinh, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai and Binh Dinh in the coming time.
