Nghe An Telecommunications strives for 10% growth in 2014 compared to 2013

(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of February 12 in Vinh City, Nghe An Telecommunications held a conference to deploy the 2014 plan. Attending the conference were comrades: Huynh Thanh Dien - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Tran Manh Hung - General Director of Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group, along with representatives of some provincial departments, branches and agencies and representatives of other units in the area.

Comrade Tran Thi Thuy - Director of Nghe An Telecommunications reported: In 2013, Nghe An Telecommunications successfully completed the production and business plan targets, improved 43 rankings among telecommunications units nationwide, reaching 16th place. Total revenue reached 757 billion VND (101% of the plan), increased by 12% compared to 2012, paid 42 billion VND to the budget, increased by 17% compared to the same period last year, ranked 13th out of 9,000 enterprises in the province in terms of budget contribution. Average income was 6.5 million VND/person/month, increased by 12% compared to 2012.

Investment in network development and optimization, quality management have been actively implemented, achieving good results. Modern and synchronous telecommunications infrastructure has been invested, covering even remote and rural areas; fiber optic cable network has reached most communes in the province with a total length of over 5,000 km, covering 94% of communes in the province; currently there are over 1,200 mobile network service stations, covering all communes in the province. More than 100,000 high-speed internet connection ports ensure supply to 98% of communes in the province.

The industry has newly built 10 BTS, 65 3G stations, developed 35 new broadband stations with an efficiency of 65%. Installed 9 new switching stations at large units in need. Optimized the cable network, buried cable lines, reduced the number of cables on electric poles, recovered nearly 900km of copper cables and 1000 concrete poles of all kinds...

In 2014, Nghe An Telecommunications strives to achieve 830 billion VND, a 10% increase compared to 2013, contributing 47 billion VND to the budget; mobile services grow 11%; broadband services grow 21%; MyTV services grow 100%, Data services grow 60%, VAT increases 27%. Labor productivity is 875 million VND/person/year. Average income per capita reaches 7,200,000 VND/person/month...

Speaking at the conference, comrade Huynh Thanh Dien acknowledged and praised the outstanding efforts of VNPT Nghe An in 2013, doing a good job in developing the infrastructure network and taking care of customer development. The results achieved by Nghe An Telecommunications last year contributed to the telecommunications development of Nghe An and significantly contributed to the provincial budget. In 2014, the economy continued to be difficult, so VNPT Nghe An promoted the achieved results, needed to focus on directing the continued development of the telecommunications network in the area, developing public telecommunications, taking care of customer development, telecommunications services, striving to achieve higher results and exceed the expenditures set in 2014.
