Increase in water prices

(Baonghean.vn) - Implementing Joint Circular No. 75/2012 of the Ministry of Finance - Ministry of Construction - Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development on ensuring correct and sufficient calculation of reasonable production costs and to encourage the economical use of water, the Provincial People's Committee has just approved the 2014 clean water consumption price plan.

Accordingly, the price adjustment for domestic water consumption products in 2014 is based on progressive prices. For

Household domestic water (including collective housing) is applied according to the following levels: consumption level 1-10m3/household/month price 5,800 VND/m3, from 10-20 m3/household/month price 7,200 VND/m3, from 20-30 m3/m3/household/month price 8,700 VND/m3, from over 30m3/m3/household/month price 10,900 VND/m3.

Water for daily life in administrative agencies, hospitals, schools, armed forces, security (not for production and business) 8,700 VND/m3. Water for business and service activities 14,800 VND/m3.

Thus, compared to current prices, the price of domestic water for households will increase if used in large quantities; clean water used for business services will increase by 4,400 VND/m3, over 40%.

It is expected that from July 1, 2014, the above price will be applied throughout the province.
