Nghia Dan: Meeting with veterans and former youth volunteers who participated in the resistance against the French.
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of May 5th, Nghia Dan district organized a meeting with veterans and former youth volunteers who participated in the resistance war against the French, in commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7th, 1954 - May 7th, 2014).
Attending the event were distinguished guests including leaders from the District Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Fatherland Front Committee, and district-level organizations; veteran revolutionaries; the District Military Command; the Veterans' Association; and the Youth Union of the communes and towns located in the district.

At the meeting, veteran revolutionaries who participated in the Dien Bien Phu campaign and the resistance war against the French recalled the heroic memories of our nation's struggle against foreign invaders. Through this, they educated the younger generation about gratitude, respect, and profound appreciation for the sacrifices and losses of their forefathers, thereby fostering a sense of moral cultivation and contributing to the building and protection of the country.

On this occasion, the district also presented gifts to veterans who had participated in the resistance war against the French in general and the Dien Bien Phu campaign in particular.
