People who are "lucky" with these types of topics.
(Baonghean)Over the years, readers of Nghe An Newspaper have been delighted with the witty, humorous, and insightful commentaries and ideological discussions by authors using the pen names Nghe Nhan, Phuc Vinh, Duy Huong, Nguoi Lam Chuyen, etc., published in Nghe An Newspaper. Few people know that all these pen names belong to the same author, journalist Duy Huong – a reporter for the Party Building Department of Nhan Dan Newspaper.

I had the opportunity to meet and get to know journalist Duy Huong when he came to Nghe An for work. I was a young reporter, new to the profession, while Duy Huong was a well-known writer in the journalistic world. But when we met, his lively, cheerful demeanor and charming way of speaking dispelled my initial feeling of being overwhelmed. Having studied in Hanoi and then settled there for nearly a decade, Duy Huong still retains his distinctive, rustic Nghe An accent. Before meeting him, I had read many of his articles and felt that his writing was very strong and diverse, covering various fields from politics and economics to culture and society. Regardless of the field, he demonstrated a keen awareness of current issues; his witty writing style and sharp analysis created a captivating effect.
In the field of Party building, a relatively difficult area, even for reflective articles, let alone those on ideological activities, journalist Duy Huong's writing conveys everything flexibly, gently, and engagingly, avoiding dryness and, most importantly, maintaining the characteristics of a Party building article. During a trip with him to the grassroots level in Quynh Luu, Quy Hop, and Anh Son districts, conversations with him truly enlightened me on many things. "If you write an article about agriculture, reflecting on the methods of planting, caring for, harvesting, and the economic value per unit area of a crop or livestock variety, that falls under the economic category. The Party building category, however, must clearly demonstrate the policies of Party committees at all levels and the role of cadres and Party members in mobilizing the people to implement them to achieve that economic effect," he explained, highlighting the difference between economic and Party building articles on the same topic.
As for articles on ideological activities in Party building – a type of article considered difficult to write – Duy Huong is extremely successful. Readers who regularly follow the ideological activities section on the Party building page of Nghe An Newspaper will clearly see this. The issues he addresses here are often not grandiose, but rather very close to the daily activities of each cadre and Party member. To produce such works, in addition to his rich linguistic abilities as someone with a linguistic background, Duy Huong is also very perceptive in listening and selecting information. It could be a story told along the way by a district Party committee official or a conversation during a discussion between a commune Party committee secretary, with very small details that would be missed without subtlety. Duy Huong, however, grasps and develops these small details into an issue in ideological activities that, when published in the newspaper, many people will recognize themselves in.
When asked about his profession, he just smiled and said, "When I first joined the Party Building Department at the People's Newspaper, I didn't understand anything about Party work. Everything was very vague. I had to find articles about Party building by famous journalists, read and ponder them, and then draw experience from each field trip and each article to gradually shape my writing style. In addition, when writing about Party building, you have to thoroughly understand the documents and resolutions of Party committees at all levels to suggest topics and reflect them accurately and correctly."
Behind every newspaper, in addition to the team of reporters, there are always hundreds, even thousands, of contributors. And for Nghe An Newspaper, journalist Duy Huong is one of those special contributors. What is most valuable about him is not only his devotion to his homeland and the provincial Party newspaper, but also his enthusiasm to contribute his small part to building a sharp team of reporters writing about Party building at Nghe An Newspaper. Therefore, after that business trip, upon returning to Hanoi, he went to the Nhan Dan Newspaper Library to photocopy hundreds of articles on Party building by renowned authors and sent them to us for reference.
