Russia and China continue to maintain good-neighborly treaty

The Kremlin press agency said that at the end of the talks, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping signed a joint statement and witnessed the signing of a series of cooperation documents.

Earlier, the Russian and Chinese presidents co-chaired talks with a narrow and expanded composition.

In the joint statement, the two sides agreed to bring the comprehensive partnership and strategic cooperation between the two countries to a new stage, maintain and deepen strategic trust dialogue.

The joint statement also mentioned continuing to maintain the treaty of good-neighborliness and friendly cooperation, but emphasized increasing mutual support in ensuring sovereignty, territorial integrity and security.

The two sides emphasized their mutual opposition to external interference in each country's internal affairs.

Both sides intend to take steps to enhance the effectiveness of bilateral cooperation./.
