(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of December 20, in Vinh city, the People's Petition Committee of the National Assembly Standing Committee coordinated with the National Assembly Delegation of Nghe An to organize a conference "Continuing to innovate and improve the quality and effectiveness of people's petition work".

Attending the conference were comrades: Huynh Ngoc Son - Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly; members of the National Assembly Standing Committee Nguyen Duc Hien - Head of the People's Aspirations Committee; Phan Trung Ly - Chairman of the National Assembly's Law Committee; and representatives of leaders of National Assembly delegations from provinces and cities across the country. On the side of Nghe An province, there were comrade Tran Hong Chau - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Pham Van Tan - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Nghe Anh; representatives of a number of departments, branches and district-level People's Councils.

Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Huynh Ngoc Son affirmed: In recent times, the activities of the National Assembly have been increasingly innovated and put into practice, contributing to the overall success of which the work of people's petitions has made a significant contribution. The conference analyzed and clarified the existing causes and limitations in the work of people's petitions in recent times in order to find solutions to improve the quality and effectiveness of the work of people's petitions, strengthen the coordination relationship with the People's Council, relevant agencies and organizations in the work of people's petitions; on the organization of the supporting apparatus, the conditions to ensure the implementation of the work of receiving citizens; contacting voters; supervising the settlement of complaints and denunciations of citizens and supervising the settlement of voters' petitions....

On behalf of the provincial leaders, Mr. Tran Hong Chau, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, spoke, affirming that over the past time, the province has deeply recognized the role of people's petition work and has focused on leading and directing the improvement of people's petition work, resolving citizens' petitions, complaints and denunciations. The National Assembly's People's Petition Committee's organization of a conference in Nghe An is a good opportunity for the province to learn and acquire knowledge and experience to continue to propagate, lead and direct the innovation, improve the quality and effectiveness of people's petition work. This is also an opportunity for Nghe An to have the opportunity to exchange and promote the province's potential and achievements to friends across the country. At the conference, delegates listened to an introduction to the Law on Citizen Reception and topics on innovation in voter contact before and after the session; activities to supervise the settlement of voters' petitions; work to organize voter contact; work to receive citizens, handle petitions and supervise the settlement of complaints and denunciations by the National Assembly delegation... In addition, delegates also spent time sharing experiences in professional activities, stating the causes of problems and finding solutions to innovate and improve the quality of citizen petition work in the coming time.
