Establish a Center for Consulting and Support for the Development of Ethnic Minority Regions

(Baonghean.vn) -On May 20th, the Provincial Ethnic Affairs Committee held a ceremony to announce the establishment of the Nghe An Center for Consulting and Support for the Development of Ethnic Minority Areas (Center for Consulting and Support for Development). Mr. Luong Quang Kinh, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Head of the Provincial Ethnic Affairs Committee, attended and presented the Decision on the establishment of the Center.

Comrade Luong Quang Kinh presented the establishment decision to the center's leaders.

The Center for Consulting and Development Support was established by Decision No. 1686/QD-UBND dated April 22, 2014, of the Provincial People's Committee. The Center is the first public service unit for ethnic minorities under the Provincial Ethnic Affairs Committee; it performs the functions and tasks of consulting and supporting the development of ethnic minority areas within the scope of implementing current ethnic policies and mechanisms; including consulting and supervising construction projects under its management, attracting investment and support capital, developing scientific research projects, and publishing newsletters related to ethnic minorities… The Center will also carry out other tasks assigned by the Provincial Ethnic Affairs Committee and the Provincial People's Committee.
