1,000 poor students will be taken home by bus to celebrate Tet

The Vietnam Student Association of Hanoi has just announced that during this Tet holiday, the Vietnam Student Association of Hanoi will implement the program "Warm Tet - Happy Spring 2014".

The program aims to support poor students and those in difficult circumstances to return home to celebrate Tet with their families on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2014. To encourage and motivate students in difficult circumstances to excel in their studies and participate in social activities.

Promote the spirit of mutual love and mutual assistance among students in the capital and the cooperation of the social community with the education and training cause of the country. Promote the beauty of the traditional Vietnamese New Year to international students studying and researching in Vietnam.

The program “Warm Tet – Happy Spring 2014” will have two main activities: arranging bus routes to take 1,000 students home for Tet; organizing visits and giving gifts to foreign students studying at universities, colleges and academies in Hanoi who cannot return home for Tet.

The beneficiaries are students from the provinces of Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Phu Tho, Tuyen Quang, Ha Giang, Hoa Binh, Son La, Lai Chau, Thai Nguyen, Cao Bang, Bac Kan, Yen Bai, Lao Cai who are in difficult circumstances, are policy beneficiaries, are ethnic minorities, have made efforts to excel in their studies and actively participate in the work of the Youth Union and Association./.
