Nghe Tinh Port receives top code of 2014

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of January 1, 2014, at Cua Lo port, Nghe Tinh Port One Member Co., Ltd. held a ceremony to receive the first shipment of the year. Attending were comrades: Ho Duc Phoc - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Bui Thien Thu - Deputy Director General of Vietnam Maritime Administration; Nguyen Canh Viet - General Director of Vietnam Maritime Corporation, a number of provincial departments and branches and traditional trading partners.

In 2013, Nghe Tinh Port One Member Co., Ltd. focused on in-depth investment, equipping more facilities and equipment, and improving the production line and cargo handling tools. Implementing the expansion of berths 5 and 6 of Cua Lo Port. Strengthening major repairs, regular repairs, maintenance of vehicles and equipment, coordinating dredging and maintenance of the channel into Cua Lo and Ben Thuy ports. In 2013, the Port welcomed more than 960 ships receiving and returning goods. The volume of goods throughput reached more than 2 million 350 thousand tons, an increase of 20% compared to 2012. Revenue reached more than 120 billion VND, estimated profit reached nearly 5 billion VND, average income reached over 6 million VND/person/month. The unit fulfilled 100% of its obligations to the state, actively participating in social activities.

Entering the new year 2014, Nghe Tinh Port strives to achieve a cargo throughput of over 2.4 million tons, with a revenue of 125 billion VND. To achieve the above target, Nghe Tinh Port will focus on strengthening production direction, rationally arranging human resources and equipment, saving production costs, increasing labor productivity, and quickly releasing ships; continuing to innovate loading and unloading processes and technologies and investing in additional equipment to improve production and business efficiency. In addition, the Port will implement many measures to attract customers, open more container transport routes at Cua Lo Port; and effectively implement democratic regulations to create consensus and solidarity among cadres, workers and civil servants.

Right from the beginning of the new year, Cua Lo Port has been bustling with ships coming in and out to load and unload goods.

At the ceremony to welcome the first cargo code of 2014, Cua Lo port loaded and unloaded nearly 350 containers from the 8,000-ton Viet-Sun Pasipic ship, belonging to the Viet-Nhat shipping company. The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded was large, but with the spirit of urgent work, in a short time, the entire volume of cargo was completed, ensuring the schedule.
