Opening of the National Radio Festival Preliminary Round
(Baonghean.vn) - On March 19, Voice of Vietnam in collaboration with Nghe An Radio and Television Station organized the Opening Ceremony of the Preliminary Round of the 11th National Radio Festival 2014 in the Northern region.
Attending the ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Dang Tien - General Director of Voice of Vietnam. On the side of Nghe An province, there were comrades: Tran Hong Chau - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Dinh Thi Le Thanh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of relevant departments, branches, and 26 radio and television stations in the Northern region.

The National Radio Festival is held every two years to honor creative values and outstanding works of the year; it is an opportunity for journalists to meet, exchange and share experiences in journalism, aiming to build professional journalists and professional radio and television press agencies.

In his opening speech, Mr. Vu Hai - Deputy General Director of Voice of Vietnam said that the final round of this National Radio Festival will be held in Lam Dong province at the end of April 2014 with 270 entries from 76 units nationwide. From now until the end of March, the preliminary round will be held in 3 regions.
Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Dinh Thi Le Thanh - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assessed that the Radio and Television Festival is a cultural event of national significance, an extremely meaningful opportunity for the people of Nghe An province to express their feelings and gratitude to those working in radio and television - the pioneers on the cultural and ideological front. The radio works reach a large number of listeners across the country and international friends, and are a strong source of motivation to encourage the Party Committee and people of Nghe An to unite, promote all potentials, and successfully complete the task of socio-economic development of Nghe An province until 2020 as set out in Resolution No. 26 of the Politburo for the province.
