Opening Ceremony of the 2nd Executive Committee Meeting of the VFF - 7th Term
This morning (May 21st), the 2nd meeting of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Football Federation - 7th term officially opened in Ho Chi Minh City. The meeting will discuss a number of important issues facing Vietnamese football both recently and in the near future.

Attending the Conference were Deputy Director General of the General Department of Physical Education and Sports Pham Van Tuan, President of the VFF Le Hung Dung, Vice Presidents Tran Quoc Tuan and Nguyen Xuan Gu, the General Secretariat, and 21 members of the Executive Committee of the 7th term. Vice President Doan Nguyen Duc and member Nguyen Quoc Hoi were absent for valid reasons.
The most important issue of the conference was to gather opinions on electing an additional Standing Committee member. Chairman Le Hung Dung proposed that the committee members nominate a candidate, after which the Standing Committee would meet and discuss before making a final decision. In addition, the VFF Executive Committee conference also discussed and gave opinions on supplementing personnel for functional committees such as: the Professional Football Committee, the Disciplinary Committee, etc.
At the conference, VFF General Secretary Le Hoai Anh reported on the VFF's activities over the past period, including the selection of the head coach for the Vietnamese national team, the preparation of the two national teams, the Vietnamese women's football team and the Vietnamese men's futsal team, as well as the organization of the 2014 Women's Asian Cup, the Asian Futsal Championship, and other foreign affairs issues. According to Mr. Le Hoai Anh, in both continental events organized by the VFF, the AFC highly appreciated the professional work, organization, and the fans.
Furthermore, VFF Vice President Tran Quoc Tuan presented to the Executive Committee the content of the Women's Football Committee meeting that recently took place in Ho Chi Minh City on May 20th. According to Mr. Tuan, the Professional Football Committee and representatives of women's football clubs have reached a high level of consensus on a plan to elevate women's football in the country. In addition, the Women's Football Committee and the clubs also approved the plan for organizing tournaments such as the second half of the women's football season and youth tournaments in the near future.
