Quy Chau: Opening ceremony for the national defense and security knowledge training course.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of May 13th, the Quy Chau District Political Training Center, in coordination with the District Military Command, held the opening ceremony for the second training course on national defense and security knowledge for target group 4 in 2014.

The training course was attended by 100 participants from district-level departments and agencies, as well as secretaries and village heads from 12 communes and towns throughout the district. Over three days (May 13-15), participants received instruction on six main topics and several supplementary topics: People's War to Defend the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in the New Situation; some basic issues concerning ethnicity, religion, and the struggle against the enemy's exploitation of ethnic and religious issues to undermine the Vietnamese revolution at the grassroots level; countering the "peaceful evolution" and "subversive rebellion" strategies of hostile forces; building a national defense system linked to the people's war strategy to defend the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in the new era; the nationwide movement to protect national security; managing and protecting national sovereignty over the sea, islands, and borders in the new era; and the basic content of the laws on: National Defense, National Security, Military Service, Militia and Self-Defense Forces, and the Ordinance on Reserve Mobilization.

This training course aims to help participants apply their knowledge to practical work in their localities, to organize and implement tasks, and contribute to building a strong and comprehensive foundation for maintaining political security and social order in their localities, agencies, and units.
