Do Luong: 860 volunteers participate in blood donation.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of July 26th, in Hien Son commune, Do Luong district, in coordination with the Nghe An Blood Transfusion and Hematology Center, organized the "Blood Donation Day".

The activity attracted 860 volunteers, with the core force being youth union members from 16 communes in the southern and central areas of Do Luong district, and the remaining volunteers being officials and employees from the District Education and Training Department and the District Health Center.

Along with previous blood donation activities, this blood donation drive always receives deep attention from the Youth Union members of Do Luong district, with many members participating for the fourth time. Through blood donation, the tradition of love and mutual support is honored, while also demonstrating enthusiasm and a willingness to share with the community. The total of 516 units of blood collected represents the heartfelt contribution of all volunteers in Do Luong district to underprivileged patients in need of assistance.

Following this blood donation drive, Do Luong district plans to organize another blood donation drive in August 2014. Volunteers participating in the blood donation are youth union members and civil servants from the 17 communes of the district.
