The new incinerator is now in operation.

Currently, on average, each day the amount of solid waste collected at the incinerator of the Provincial General Hospital is from 3.5 to 4 quintals, including 5 units: Provincial General Hospital, Cua Dong Hospital, Dong Au Hospital, Hospital 115 and the Center for Reproductive Health Care. In particular, the amount of solid waste that needs to be processed each day at the Provincial General Hospital alone is up to 240 kg. However, recently, the Hoval waste incinerator with a capacity of 400 - 500 kg of waste/24 hours has seriously degraded, not ensuring environmental hygiene standards, affecting human health.

To solve the above situation, Nghe An General Hospital has invested in building a new 1000A2 waste treatment furnace with a capacity of 100kg/h manufactured by Inciner8 UK. The project is invested by the Department of Health, with a total value of more than 4.6 billion VND. Accordingly, the working process of the incinerator is fully automatic, with a dust filtration efficiency of up to 75-80%. Putting the new waste treatment furnace into operation will contribute to reducing the risk of water pollution and spreading pathogens to the surrounding environment.
