Nguyen Thanh Nhan consistently stays close to the local area and targets, thoroughly understanding the modus operandi of various types of criminals, drawing on practical experience to advise and propose numerous plans and measures to prevent crime and social vices to the unit's leadership.

With his intelligence and professional skills, Nguyen Thanh Nhan and his colleagues have successfully solved many criminal cases. While serving as Deputy Head of the Criminal Investigation Team, Nhan investigated and apprehended Ho Duc Thien (born in 1986, residing in Hamlet 6, Quynh Chau Commune, Quynh Luu District), who was responsible for 12 cases of safe theft, recovering hundreds of millions of dong worth of stolen property. Nhan also successfully dismantled a gang that stole property (7 cases) from kiosks in Tuan Hamlet, Quynh Chau Commune.

One outstanding achievement was Case 909 T, where, after a short time, he and his teammates clarified the involvement of a group of 15 suspects led by Le Dang Thanh, born in 1984, residing in Hamlet 2, Quynh Trang Commune. They initially uncovered 22 cases of motorcycle theft and 6 cases of cattle theft in Quynh Luu District. Many residents of Hamlets 5 and 1, Quynh Tan Commune, were overjoyed to receive their cattle back and wrote letters of sincere and touching thanks to him. Nguyen Thanh Nhan's many other achievements are too numerous to list, but one thing is clear: all of his and his teammates' successes stem from their dedication, resourcefulness, bravery, and courage, utilizing information from the people and maintaining close ties with them throughout the investigation process.

His work always required him to take the lead, operating in the most difficult and arduous fields, but he strived to complete his tasks excellently. He was honored in the "Nghe An Youth Learning and Following Uncle Ho's Teachings" movement. When he was the Youth Union Secretary, on Saturdays and Sundays he often organized for union members to go to the grassroots to help people harvest crops, dig ponds, and plant forests in difficult communes such as Ngoc Son, Quynh Thang, Tan Thang, and Quynh Thanh (Quynh Luu); he went to people's homes to issue identity cards, and advised the unit's leaders to let the youth union handle the processing of identity card applications and motorcycle registration to speed up the process and minimize inconvenience for the people.

Captain Nguyen Thanh Nhan stated: "I always seriously implement and strictly adhere to regulations, and my conduct and communication with the people always reflect the proper demeanor of a police officer, being cheerful, approachable, respectful, and polite to the people." Because of the people's trust, the officers are always provided with information as quickly as possible and receive multifaceted support during investigations and case solving.

With numerous achievements in his duties, Captain Nguyen Thanh Nhan received a Certificate of Commendation from the Minister of Public Security, a Certificate of Commendation from the Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province, was recognized as an Emulation Soldier for five consecutive years, and received many commendations from the Provincial Police. These awards have promptly encouraged his spirit and determination to continue serving the people.
