17th Congress of Delegates of Hung Nguyen District Fatherland Front

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of March 26, 2014, Hung Nguyen district organized the 17th Congress of the District Fatherland Front Committee, term 2014-2019. 162 official delegates elected from the grassroots attended the Congress.

During the past term, with unanimity, determination, and solidarity, the Fatherland Front of Hung Nguyen district has coordinated to effectively implement 5 action contents: Every year, the whole district has over 90% of households registering to build "Cultural Families", at the end of the term, 82% of households were recognized as achieving the title of "Cultural Families", an increase of 6.4% compared to the beginning of the term, reaching 102.5% compared to the target set by the Resolution of the 16th Congress of the Fatherland Front. Up to now, 106 residential areas have achieved the title of cultural standards, an increase of 11 residential areas compared to the beginning of the term, 23/23 communes and towns have cultural, information, and sports institutions. The movement "All people join hands to build new countryside", 97 residential areas have at least 1 project worth 25 million VND or more, with the motto of promoting the internal strength of the whole people, up to now, 22/22 communes have completed the master plan, 8 communes have met 10-15 criteria; 10 communes have met 5-10 criteria; 4 communes have met less than 5 criteria; the campaign to support the "Fund for the poor" continues to receive attention from the Party Committee, the government, the district Fatherland Front to implement and receive positive response from the people.

During the last term, the whole district mobilized more than 3.6 billion VND. The mobilized amount, together with the support of the Provincial "For the Poor" Fund Mobilization Board, supported the construction of 192 new "Great Unity" houses, repaired 265 houses, the poverty rate by 2013 was 10.2%, down 5.25% compared to 2008. In addition, the district also coordinated and implemented well the campaigns "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods", "Repaying gratitude"; "All people protect national security", educate and reform people who have made mistakes in the community; "Police listen to people, police speak, people listen" ...

With the spirit of democracy, solidarity and intelligence, the Congress consulted and elected 65 comrades to the 17th Executive Committee, term 2014 - 2019, elected 9 comrades to attend the 8th Congress of the Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province, term 2014 - 2019./.
