Chau Thuan - Quy Chau: Competition to learn about the law on preventing and combating domestic violence

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of June 24, the People's Committee of Chau Thuan commune organized a contest to learn about family knowledge and prevent domestic violence with the aim of propagating and raising awareness of all levels, sectors and local people in implementing the Law on Prevention and Control of Domestic Violence; Law on Marriage and Family; Law on Gender Equality; educating ethical standards in the family, building a prosperous, equal, progressive and happy family.

The contest had 60 contestants from 10 villages in the whole commune. The teams had to go through 3 rounds: Greeting, knowledge and talent: In the knowledge section, the teams took turns performing singing, folk songs, skits... suitable to the contest theme. In the talent section (presentation), each team sent a member to answer 3/60 questions with messages related to the current situation and causes of domestic violence, the viewpoints, policies and guidelines of the Party, and the State's laws and policies on family work in the locality, stating the harms and consequences of domestic violence on society, the responsibilities of individuals, communities and society in preventing domestic violence.

As a result, the Organizing Committee awarded first prize to the Chang team, second prize to Nong team, third prize to Noong Hao team and style prize to Piu team.

Through this contest, Chau Thuan commune will review the results of organizing and implementing the Law on Domestic Violence Prevention and Control in the commune in the past time and also create conditions for villages to learn, study, and equip themselves with more knowledge and experience in preventing domestic violence and some general knowledge about family.
