Comrade Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee spoke at the meeting.

Especially in the period of 2006-2013, there were many large-scale, high-tech projects invested in the agricultural sector, many projects were completed, promoted effectively, and contributed significantly to the socio-economic development of the province. By the end of 2013, in the field of agriculture and rural development, more than 200 projects with a total investment of over 6,500 billion VND were called for.

In the coming time, our province will continue to strongly improve the investment environment for agriculture in an open and favorable direction to attract more investment capital into the agricultural sector; make use of all investment resources for production development, infrastructure serving agriculture and rural areas. The target by 2020 is that the growth rate in agricultural, forestry and fishery production will reach 4-4.5%/year, the average income per hectare of cultivated land will reach 70-75 million VND/ha/year, and 20% of communes will meet the NTM standards. To achieve that goal, it is necessary to attract about 21,501 billion VND for investment projects (including projects implemented before 2013).

Concluding the meeting, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee stated: In the coming time, it is necessary to continue to focus on mobilizing multilateral donors such as WB, ADB and traditional donors such as JICA, KFW, AFD for projects on infrastructure investment in agriculture and rural development, climate change, new rural construction, focusing on attracting FDI projects. Based on the comments of relevant sectors, the Department of Agriculture needs to absorb, supplement, and amend to develop a complete project to submit to the Provincial People's Committee.
