After the first day of exams, candidates arrived at the testing centers with varying moods. Many were beaming with smiles because they had done well on the previous two subjects, while others appeared anxious and nervous, hoping the final exam would be based on their prepared material to balance their scores across all three subjects. Chemistry is considered a core subject for Group B students, so many predicted a fairly good result because they had studied thoroughly. In particular, many Group C students confidently believed that this year's Literature exam, in the social commentary section, would likely continue with the pressing current issue of the nation's islands and seas. A tip shared by many candidates after the first day of exams was that exams always have easy and difficult parts to differentiate between students' abilities. Therefore, after receiving the exam paper, one should spend a few minutes carefully reading and assessing the questions, answering the easy ones first and the difficult ones later.

Regarding exam regulations, drawing on experience from the first day of the exam, most candidates, when asked, affirmed that they understood the regulations and would strictly adhere to them. Observations from the first phase of the university and college entrance exams and the first day of the second phase showed that the number of candidates disqualified for violating regulations was very small.

At 7:00 AM, while most candidates had already settled into their seats and were waiting for the exam papers to be distributed, outside the exam venue, thousands of parents began their familiar waiting period. Many were carrying luggage, waiting for their children to finish their morning exam so they could take a bus back to their hometowns. The weather in Vinh City on the morning of July 10th remained hot and sunny. This factor also significantly affected the health and psychology of both candidates and parents.
