Establish a hotline to support Vietnamese citizens in Libya.
The two hotlines of the Vietnamese Embassy in Libya are +00218.926903041/+00218.923654587, operating 24/7.
On July 30, the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that approximately 1,550 Vietnamese citizens are working in Libya, mostly in areas where fighting has not yet occurred.

Previously, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs instructed Vietnamese representative agencies in Libya and other countries in the region to closely monitor the situation, coordinate closely with local authorities and companies employing Vietnamese workers to be ready to facilitate and provide support to ensure the safety of Vietnamese citizens working in Libya; it also requested the Vietnamese Embassy in Libya to proactively contact and inform Vietnamese citizens about the complex developments in Libya, while advising citizens to stay away from conflict zones and maintain close contact with the Vietnamese Embassy in Libya for assistance in emergency situations.
To date, the Vietnamese Embassy in Libya has established two 24/7 hotlines: +00218.926903041 and +00218.923654587. The Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has also opened a hotline: +0084.918370497.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will continue to coordinate closely with the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, Vietnamese representative agencies in Libya and countries in the region to closely monitor the situation and take necessary measures to ensure the safety of Vietnamese citizens.
