Exhibition "Dien Bien Phu - A golden history"

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of April 28, the Military Zone 4 Museum coordinated with the Vinh City Youth Union to organize a thematic exhibition "Dien Bien Phu - a golden history".

Attending the exhibition were Major General Vo Van Viet - Party Secretary, Political Commissar of Military Region 4, Major General Nguyen Phong Phu, Chairman of the Veterans Association and youth union members from all levels of schools in the province.

From vivid photos recreating history, the young generation listens to the stories of their fathers and grandfathers in the resistance war against colonialism and imperialism, gaining peaceful independence for the Vietnamese people at the Military Zone 4 Museum.

The exhibition “Dien Bien Phu - a golden history” with nearly 300 images, documents, and precious artifacts kept at the Military Region Museum, collected from central and local archives, agencies, units, and veterans, contributes to vividly and deeply depicting the Dien Bien Phu victory; the wise leadership of the Party and President Ho Chi Minh, the role of General Vo Nguyen Giap; Inter-zone 4's contribution of human and material resources to the frontline, as well as the great sacrifices of generations of fathers and brothers in the fight to protect the Fatherland.

The exhibition is an opportunity for the young generation to understand and be proud of the glorious traditional history of the nation. From there, they clearly see their responsibilities and obligations in building and protecting the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; strive to practice and improve themselves in studying and working, ready to receive and excellently complete all assigned tasks.

After being displayed for a week at the Military Zone 4 Museum, the exhibition "Dien Bien Phu - a golden history" will be brought to high schools in the city by the Military Zone 4 Museum's Youth Union in coordination with Vinh City Youth Union.
