Arrested for transporting 40 heroin cakes

(Baonghean.vn) - The Ha Tinh Border Guard has just coordinated with the forces of the Border Guard Drug Crime Prevention Department, Department C47 of the Ministry of Public Security, PC 47 Department of Nghe An Police, and Ninh Police to arrest a case of drug trafficking with a large quantity, seizing 40 heroin cakes printed with 02 45-caliber pistols and 01 duckbill grenade and some documents related to drug trafficking activities.

Implementing the plan to combat the project 457L of the Ha Tinh Border Guard to combat the trafficking and transportation of drugs from Laos to Vietnam through the Ha Tinh border to the southern provinces, at 0:15 on July 15, 2014, in Loi Hai commune, Thuan Bac district, Ninh Thuan province, the task force including the Ha Tinh Border Guard, the Border Guard's Drug Crime Prevention Department coordinated with the C47 Department of the Ministry of Public Security, the PC 47 Department of Nghe An Police, and the Ninh Thuan Police to arrest Nguyen Hieu Song, born in 1969, residing in Quan Bau, Vinh city - Nghe An.

The authorities seized 40 heroin cakes and some related documents and exhibits. Expanding the investigation, they arrested Nguyen Van Tuan (Tuan Lay), born in 1970, residing in Truong Thi Ward, Vinh City, Nghe An Province. Searching Nguyen Van Tuan's house and car, they seized 2 45-caliber pistols and 1 duckbill grenade and some documents related to drug trafficking activities; arrested some more subjects involved in the drug ring.

Currently, the task force is completing the file and continuing the investigation.
