(Baonghean.vn) - At 1:00 p.m. on May 22, 2014, a forest fire broke out in the border area between Thuong Son - Do Luong and My Thanh - Yen Thanh commune.

Immediately after discovering the fire, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Command of Do Luong district mobilized the police, army, and strong platoon forces of the communes to focus on fighting the forest fire. However, due to the hot weather with high temperatures of up to 39-40 degrees Celsius, and the thick vegetation in the border area between Thuong Son and My Thanh, the fire burned fiercely.

Although the forces of Thuong Son commune (Do Luong) and My Thanh commune (Yen Thanh) mobilized the maximum number of people to put out the fire, the strong wind and the forest located precariously on a high hill made the fire extinguishing very difficult. With the efforts of the people, officers, soldiers, police, army, and militia in extinguishing the fire, by about 4:15 p.m., the fire was basically extinguished.
