Commending 85 outstanding grassroots trade union officials.

(Baonghean.vn) - To commemorate the 85th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 – July 28, 2014), on the evening of July 24, in Vinh City, the Provincial Federation of Labor organized a conference to commend outstanding grassroots trade union officials. Attending the conference were Comrade Le Xuan Dai - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, along with representatives from various departments, agencies, districts, cities, and towns.

Recognizing the contributions of grassroots trade union officials, the Provincial Federation of Labor selected and commended 85 outstanding trade union officials who have made significant contributions to the workers' movement and trade union activities, representing over 18,000 trade union officials throughout the province. Of these, 71 were selected from 21 district, city, and town labor federations; 13 from 9 industry trade unions; and 1 from 8 affiliated grassroots trade unions.

Comrade Le Xuan Dai presented certificates of commendation to outstanding grassroots trade union officials.

On this occasion, the Provincial Labor Union awarded prizes to the authors of the 10 winning entries in the writing competition on the workers' and employees' movement and the activities of the Nghe An Trade Union; and presented the "For the Cause of Building and Organizing the Trade Union" commemorative medal to 5 comrades representing 909 comrades throughout the province who received the medal in this round.

In his concluding remarks at the conference, Comrade Le Xuan Dai highly appreciated the role of grassroots trade union officials in the emulation movements of workers, civil servants, and laborers. He also requested that trade union officials continue to build upon their achievements, serving as a core force to replicate advanced models in trade union activities throughout the province, gathering and leveraging the collective strength of union members and workers, contributing to the development of units, enterprises, and society, and further developing the workers' movement and trade union activities.
