(Baonghean.vn) -As part of a program to provide free medical examinations, medication, and gifts to people in remote, disadvantaged, and economically difficult areas, on May 17th, Military Hospital 4 (Logistics Department of Military Region 4) organized a delegation of officers, doctors, and nurses to visit, examine, and provide free medicine in Thoọng-Pẹ village, Căm-Cớt district, Bô-Li-Khăm-Xay province, Lao People's Democratic Republic.

The Head of the Logistics Department of Military Region 4 and Hospital 4 presented gifts to the military-civilian medical station in Thoọng-Pẹ village, Căm-Cớt district, Bô-Li-Khăm-Xay province.

Over the course of one day, 20 medical staff from Military Hospital 4 provided free medical examinations, ultrasounds, electrocardiograms, and medication to 500 residents of Thoọng-Pẹ village, Căm-Cớt district, Bolikhamsai province. Military Hospital 4 also donated a medicine cabinet, a set of five-sense examination equipment, a throat nebulizer, and a computer to the Thoọng-Pẹ village military-civilian medical station.

On this occasion, officers, doctors, and nurses of the Military Hospital also coordinated with the Border Guard Command of Ha Tinh province to organize free medical examinations and provide free medicine to 200 people, including policy beneficiaries, poor households, and the elderly in Son Kim 1 commune, Huong Son district, Ha Tinh province, and to provide medical examinations for nearly 120 officers and soldiers of the Cau Treo International Border Gate Border Guard Station in Ha Tinh.

The total value of medicines and gifts donated during this mission by Military Hospital 4 was over 120 million VND. This amount was raised from contributions by officers and staff, the poverty alleviation fund, and the unit's own capital fund.
