Provincial Military Command: Organized a competition for militia artillery platoons.

(Baonghean.vn) - The Provincial Military Command recently successfully organized the 2014 Artillery Platoon Training Excellence Competition for militia and self-defense forces from 21 districts, towns, and cities throughout the province.

The competition was attended by representatives from the Artillery Department of Military Region 4 and members of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Provincial Command.

The competition aimed to realistically assess the results of training, technical and tactical skills, and the ability of squads to coordinate during training and live firing, thereby drawing lessons to improve the quality of training in the future. Over two days (July 8th to 9th), 189 militia members from 21 districts, towns, and cities throughout the province participated in the following competitions: Squads executing firing commands without gunners, measuring angles with binoculars, simple angle measurement, and marking the standard direction; Squads preparing for firing and coordinating combat operations; and Squads competing in live firing with 82mm mortars...

Thanks to thorough preparation in terms of lesson plans, lectures, and training grounds, the competition was a great success, ensuring the safety of personnel and equipment. This was an opportunity for localities to learn from each other's experiences in organizing training and coordinating combat operations. At the end of the competition, the organizing committee awarded certificates of merit from the Provincial People's Committee to 8 collectives and 6 individuals for their outstanding achievements.
