Ford must recall nearly one million vehicles with technical defects
The "storm" of recalls of defective vehicles in the US market since the beginning of the year has not ended. Most recently, on September 26, Ford Motor Company, the car manufacturer that Forbes magazine rated as "the most important industrial company in American history," issued a recall notice for nearly one million defective vehicles.

A VNA reporter in Washington quoted Ford Motor's announcement from its headquarters in Dearborn, Michigan, saying it will recall a total of about 850,000 vehicles of all types to fix a software technical error that could cause a short circuit, delaying the function of safety airbags in the event of an accident.
The recalled vehicles include the Ford C-MAX, Fusion, Escape and Lincoln MKZ manufactured between 2013 and 2014. Ford's recall announcement comes despite the fact that the company has not received any reports of accidents or injuries related to the defect.
Previously, on September 25, Chrysler Group LLC also announced a recall of about 350,000 vehicles including Dodge Charger, Magnum, Chrysler 300, Jeep Grand Cherokee and Commander models manufactured since 2008 due to a defect in the ignition lock, which can easily lead to engine damage, disrupt the function of the front airbags or windshield wipers.
This is the second time in the past week that Chrysler has issued a global recall notice for various technical problems. The vehicles included in the recall notice on September 23 are the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango SUVs.
Meanwhile, the leading American automaker, General Motors (GM), has had to issue a total of nearly 60 vehicle recall notices since the beginning of 2014, with the total number of vehicles recalled globally reaching about 30 million, of which about 25.4 million are in the US alone. GM is also facing lawsuits demanding compensation that could reach up to 10 billion USD./.
