Nghe An Customs Department conducts fire prevention and fighting drills

(Baonghean.vn) - On August 15, Nghe An Customs Department coordinated with the Ben Thuy Fire Prevention and Fighting Police Unit, Vinh City to organize a simulated fire prevention and fighting drill for civil servants and employees in the unit to improve fire prevention and fighting response skills when incidents occur.

Thoroughly grasp the content of the rehearsal

The fire fighting drill took place at Nghe An Customs Department with the participation of nearly 30 officers of Nghe An Customs Department and officers of Ben Thuy Fire Prevention and Fighting Police Unit.

The hypothetical situation was set up in the drill: A fire suddenly broke out in the storage room on the 2nd floor of the Department's headquarters, the fire spread throughout the 2-storey building and was likely to spread to the 3-storey building to the west. When a fire or explosion was discovered, the person who discovered it quickly alerted all officers and employees.

Firefighting forces of Nghe An Customs Department quickly used on-site equipment to cool the area around the fire. Firefighting police force of Ben Thuy and officers of Nghe An Customs Department quickly approached the fire and deployed rescue plans. Immediately after that, fire hoses were pulled to appropriate locations. The fire was completely controlled.

The drill has contributed to raising awareness, responsibility, and fire prevention and fighting skills for officers and civil servants of Nghe An Customs Department, improving the coordination between professional fire fighting forces and on-site forces.
