Cambodian army conducts live-fire drills
According to Xinhua News Agency, on August 29, Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense, General Tea Banh announced that the country had conducted a live-fire exercise to strengthen the defense capacity of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces (RCAF).
The half-day exercise took place at a training ground in Kampong Speu province, about 70km from the capital Phnom Penh, with about 500 cadets, tanks and artillery participating.

General Tea Banh and RCAF Commander-in-Chief, General Pol Saroeun, oversaw the exercise.
Speaking at the end of the exercise, General Tea Banh commented: "This exercise aims to strengthen the RCAF's capacity in maintaining peace and stability for the people as well as protecting territorial integrity"./.
