Heavy shelling near Donetsk immediately after Ukraine's parliamentary elections

AFP reported on October 27 that there was fierce shelling near the separatist-controlled town of Donetsk in eastern Ukraine.

The move broke the silence during Ukraine's parliamentary elections on October 26.

AFP reporters said they could hear dozens of Grad multiple rocket launchers exploding on the morning of October 27 in Putilovsky, a neighborhood of Donetsk and near the city's devastated airport.

Meanwhile, local residents confirmed by phone that a government-controlled base in Avdiivka was attacked by heavy rockets./.
