Suspend circulation of 4 functional food products

On August 15, the Director of the Food Safety Department decided to revoke 4 certificates and suspend the circulation of 4 functional food products.

The four recalled functional foods include: Ever Slim functional food, Easy Slimming functional food, Express Slimming functional food and Yen Sao De Nhat Yen functional food.

Director of the Food Safety Department Tran Quang Trung has decided to revoke 3 certificates of conformity to food safety regulations issued for 3 functional food products of Thien Ha Xanh Trading and Service Company Limited.

The reason for the revocation is that the Company no longer exists and operates at the registered address stated in the announcement file.

The revoked certificates include the certificate of conformity declaration No. 4319/2012/ATTP-XNCN signed on November 6, 2012 for the functional food product Easy Slimming.

Certificate of conformity declaration No. 4320/2012/ATTP-XNCN signed on November 6, 2012 for the functional food product Ever Slim.

Certificate of conformity declaration No. 4321/2012/ATTP-XNCN signed on November 6, 2012 for Express Slimming functional food product.

In addition to revoking the above-mentioned certificates of publication, the Food Safety Department also decided to completely suspend the circulation of the three above-mentioned functional food products.

The Director of the Food Safety Department also requested Bao Khang Import-Export Investment and Trading Company Limited to return three revoked food safety compliance certificates to the Department before August 18 (these three certificates are currently managed by Bao Khang Import-Export Investment and Trading Company Limited).

On the same day, August 15, the Director of the Department of Food Safety issued Decision No. 446/QD-ATTP to revoke the Certificate of Conformity with Food Safety Regulations issued to the functional food product De Nhat Yen Bird's Nest of De Nhat Yen Limited Liability Company with the address stated in the declaration file at 46/34 Huynh Van Luy, Phu Loi Ward, Thu Dau Mot City, Binh Duong.

The above company was fined for not currently operating at the above address and the circulation of the company's functional food product Yen Sao De Nhat Yen was completely suspended from August 15.

Previously, on August 14, the Director of the Department of Food Safety issued a decision to administratively sanction Innopha Pharmaceutical and Cosmetic Company Limited at 135/17/13&15 Nguyen Huu Canh, Ward 22, Binh Thanh, Ho Chi Minh City.

Innopha Pharmaceutical and Cosmetics Company Limited has violated the advertising of two functional food products Mai Hada and Collagen on the website, on leaflets and posters with content that is not in accordance with the registered content; Violating the regulations on product labeling (mandatory content) of two types of functional foods: Collagen and Collagen Dehappy with a total fine of 25.8 million VND.

The Food Safety Department forced Innopha Pharmaceutical and Cosmetic Company Limited to stop the violation and correct the information about the above incorrect advertising content.
