The biggest auto show ever is about to take place

Vietnam Motor Show 2014 is scheduled to take place from November 19-23 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center, Ho Chi Minh City.

Up to now, car companies participating in Vietnam Motor Show 2014 are still "hiding their cards" to create surprises on the opening day.

According to the announcement from the organizing committee, this year's exhibition will be the largest in the history of the Vietnamese automobile industry with a total of 18 participating brands, an increase of 2 brands compared to last year's exhibition. This is also the first exhibition with an absolute balance between domestically assembled car brands and imported brands.

Of these, 9 domestically assembled car brands include Ford, GM (Chevrolet), Hino, Honda, Mercedes-Benz, Suzuki, Toyota, Mitsubishi and Fuso; 9 officially imported brands include Audi, BMW, MINI, Land Rover, Jaguar, Porsche, Nissan, Infiniti and Lexus.

However, it can be predicted that this year’s exhibition will feature many new and popular car models such as the Mercedes S500 coupe version, the 5-seat SUV Mitsubishi Outlander Sport, Nissan JUKE, Suzuki Ertiga, Toyota FT-Bh concept, the 2-door sports car Jaguar F-Type, Infiniti QX60, BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe and BMW M3…

Notably, at this year's exhibition, visitors will have the opportunity to approach many environmentally friendly car models. These include the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV plug-in hybrid SUV, the popular Nissan LEAF electric car, and the Porsche 919 Hybrid.

In addition to the car display, Vietnam Motor Show 2014 also brings together hundreds of booths in the supporting industry and finance - banking.

The Vietnamese automobile market in 2014 is expected to be very active, especially at the end of the year. The latest report from VAMA shows that the total automobile sales volume in the first 9 months of 2014 in the entire market reached 106,710 units, an increase of 39% compared to the same period last year. It is forecasted that the total market capacity this year will reach about 145,000 units, an increase of 32% compared to 2013.

With the vibrant atmosphere of the market and the largest scale ever, the organizers expect Vietnam Motor Show 2014 to attract about 150,000 visitors.
