(Baonghean.vn)- On August 15, the Ministry of Public Security announced the decision to establish the Fire Prevention and Fighting Police of Nghe An province.

Nghe An is a province with a strategic position in terms of national defense and security, gradually developing to become an industrial province by 2020, a center of finance, trade, tourism, education - training, science - technology, health, culture, sports, tourism, high-tech industry of the North Central region.

Along with economic development is the rapid urbanization process, many industrial parks, factories, high-rise apartments, supermarkets, and markets have been built. Currently, the whole province has 10,000 facilities under fire prevention and fighting management, of which more than 2,000 are classified as dangerous for fire and explosion. Therefore, fire prevention and fighting work needs to be given special attention to protect the lives, health, and property of the State and people, contributing to ensuring social security and order.

This is an elite, professional force, directly undertaking the tasks of preventing, fighting fires and rescuing and saving lives.

At the ceremony, the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security presented the decision to establish the Provincial Fire Prevention Police and announced the decisions of the Minister of Public Security on the organizational structure. Nghe An Fire Prevention Police has 12 central departments and offices. Colonel Ho Sy Tuan, former Deputy Director of Nghe An Provincial Police, holds the position of Director of Nghe An Provincial Fire Prevention Police.

On this occasion, Nghe An Provincial Party Committee also awarded the decision to establish the Fire Prevention and Fighting Police Party Committee with 11 Party cells and 152 Party members.

Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested that the Fire Prevention and Fighting Police force must regularly study and practice according to the 6 teachings of Uncle Ho to the People's Public Security, at the same time thoroughly grasp and strictly implement the 4 instructions of Uncle Ho to the Fire Prevention and Fighting Police force; clearly define the role, position, functions and tasks of the newly established unit, overcome difficulties to soon stabilize the organization, meet the requirements of fire prevention and fighting and rescue in all situations; The Party Committee and leaders of the Provincial Fire Prevention and Fighting Police need to do a good job of political and ideological work for officers and soldiers; Nghe An Provincial Police need to coordinate closely with the Provincial Fire Prevention and Fighting Police to effectively carry out fire prevention and fighting work.
