Entering its fourth year of passion fruit cultivation, ethnic minority communities in Tri Le commune, as well as other communes in Que Phong district, are actively expanding their planted area. Passion fruit trees bear fruit almost year-round, and each tree yields fruit for 2-3 years. Each hectare of passion fruit can produce 65 to 70 tons. With good intensive farming practices, yields can be even higher. The current purchase price for passion fruit is 10,000 VND/kg. Thus, each hectare of passion fruit can generate revenue of 320 million VND or more. After deducting expenses, passion fruit growers earn a profit of 200 to 250 million VND per year.
