Overview of the working session

At the meeting, on behalf of the Provincial People's Committee, Vice Chairman Le Xuan Dai reported on the socio-economic development in the first 6 months of the year, emphasizing the results of implementing ethnic and mountainous policies. Assessing the results of implementing the policy to support migration and settlement for ethnic minorities, from 2008 to the end of June 2014, the whole province has developed and had 12 settlement projects (DCDC) approved by the Prime Minister. Up to now, 10/12 projects have been implemented, transferring 197/497 households according to the plan at 4 resettlement project locations. The total investment capital of 12 concentrated DCDC projects approved by the Prime Minister in Decision 1442/TTg is 136,176 million VND. There are 29/34 approved inter-project sites with a total number of resettled households of 402/458 households, 1493 people, reaching 88% of the plan. The total approved investment is 19,907 million VND. The total implemented budget is 14,615 million VND of allocated capital, reaching 100%, of which: Commune budget support is 7,821 million VND; direct support for households is 6,974 million VND...

In addition, there are also difficulties: 10 concentrated resettlement projects are under construction, including 1 project with 52 resettled households that have completed the project but still lack capital to repay debts; 5 projects do not have enough essential infrastructure to relocate people for resettlement (Chau Thanh, Quy Hop project (50 households); Thi Son, Anh Son project (54 households); Keng Du, Ky Son project (48 households); Tam Hop, Tuong Duong project (50 households); Khe Nong, Con Cuong project (50 households); 4 projects have relocated people for resettlement but still lack essential works: Doc May, Ky Son project - 48 households; Nam Nhoong, Que Phong project 50 households; Bac Ly, Ky Son 45 households; Binh Chuan, Con Cuong 50 households. 4 mixed settlement projects do not have capital to implement.
