Handling of oversized and overloaded vehicles on National Highway 7A
(Baonghean.vn) - On September 4 and 5, 2014, Nghe An authorities consecutively arrested and handled 5 overloaded and oversized vehicles on National Highway 7A in Do Luong district.
On the night of September 4, the 1-7 Traffic Control Patrol Team under the Road and Railway Traffic Police Department of the Provincial Police was on duty and discovered 4 trucks transporting wood from Tuong Duong to Vinh with signs of overloading. Through weighing, it was determined that 3 trucks were overloaded, specifically: Truck with license plate 37N-5674 was 38% overloaded; truck with license plate 37C-027.89 was 43% overloaded and truck with license plate 37S-4114 was 22% overloaded. The working group drew up a record to temporarily confiscate the vehicle documents of 3 drivers: Nguyen Van Hoa (born in 1984) residing in Hung Dong commune, Vinh city; Pham Van Man (born in 1985) and Phan Thanh Dan (born in 1987) both residing in Xuan Hong commune, Nghi Xuan, Ha Tinh, and resolutely forced the 3 trucks to reduce their load.

Then, at about 11:15 a.m. on September 5, 2014, at KM 27, the provincial interdisciplinary working group discovered two trucks arbitrarily changing the size of the truck bed, carrying goods exceeding the load capacity, specifically the truck with license plate 37C-037.25 driven by Pham Van Ngoc (born in 1956), residing in Trang Son, Do Luong, Nghe An, carrying goods exceeding the load capacity by 193% and the truck with license plate 37C-022.31 driven by Duong Dinh Hai (born in 1982), residing in Do Luong town, carrying goods exceeding the load capacity by 242%. The authorities drew up a record to temporarily confiscate the drivers' vehicle documents and forced the two trucks to lower their loads./.
