Dialogue on gender equality

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of October 16th, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, in coordination with the Vinh City People's Committee, organized a "Dialogue on Gender Equality".

During the dialogue, representatives from various blocks, hamlets, wards, and communes raised numerous questions about policies, programs, and proposed solutions to issues related to gender equality. Representatives from city departments and agencies addressed the remaining concerns. Gender equality is not only about demanding fair and respectful treatment between men and women, but also about social progress, impacting areas such as economic growth, healthcare, education, combating discrimination, and collaborative childcare.

Comrade Nguyen Trung Chau, Vice Chairman of the Vinh City People's Committee, answered questions from representatives of wards and hamlets regarding gender equality policies.

Also at the forum, departments and agencies shared the challenges women face and offered some recommendations to help them overcome them; representatives of the City Women's Union also presented the positive results in supporting women at the grassroots level and pledged to continue supporting and ensuring women's rights and interests.
