Reviewing the results of military and national defense tasks in 2014

(Baonghean.vn) - Over two days (October 9th and 10th), a delegation from the 4th Military Region Command, led by Major General Tran Huu Tuat - Deputy Commander, conducted a comprehensive inspection of the results of military and national defense tasks performed in 2014 by the armed forces of Nghe An province.

The inspection team checked the weapons and equipment storage work at warehouse K70.

After conducting inspections at the Military Commands of Nghi Loc, Yen Thanh, Thanh Chuong, Hung Nguyen districts, Warehouse K70, and the Provincial Military Command, the working group unanimously concluded that in 2014, the armed forces of Nghe An effectively advised local Party committees and authorities on military and national defense tasks in the area. Many tasks were completed with high quality, such as: ensuring the quantity and quality of military recruitment; conducting national defense and security education for all target groups according to plan and achieving good quality; building a safe and self-reliant base for combat readiness that is increasingly stable and in-depth; and conducting quality military training and political education for all target groups... The working group also pointed out limitations and shortcomings that the Provincial Military Command needs to overcome.

Based on the results achieved, the working group of the Military Region Command requested the Nghe An Provincial Military Command to implement several key tasks in the immediate future, such as: strictly maintaining combat readiness at all levels; adjusting and supplementing flood and storm prevention and search and rescue plans at all levels to closely match the situation of the unit, locality, and mission requirements; strengthening propaganda work and organizing well the activities to celebrate the Emulation Congress of the Armed Forces of the Military Region for the period 2009-2014 and the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army, and the 25th anniversary of the National Defense Day (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2014).
