According to the Decision of the Department of Telecommunications (Ministry of Information and Communications) just issued, the Military Telecommunications Group (Viettel) is granted 3 million more subscribers with the first 10 numbers 0961, 0971, 0981.

Thus, with 11 mobile network codes (096, 097, 098, 0162, 0163, 0164, 0165, 0166,0167, 0168, 0169), Viettel is now the enterprise that owns the largest number warehouse in Vietnam, up to 87 million numbers to provide to customers. Of which, there are 27 million 10-digit numbers and 60 million 11-digit numbers.

Viettel also said that according to the Telecommunications Numbering Plan recently issued by the Ministry of Information and Communications with Circular 22, the dialing length when calling mobile subscribers will be only 10 digits, including the national prefix "0". According to this new policy, 11-digit subscribers starting with 016x of Viettel network will be converted to 10-digit subscribers using the planned prefixes.
