Tam Quang Border Guard Station: Supporting breeding cows for poor households

(Baonghean.vn) - On December 27, Tam Quang Border Guard Station, Nghe An Border Guard Command, handed over 1 tamarind seedling worth 8 million VND to the family of Ms. Lo Thi Than, Thai ethnic group, born in 1986, residing in Tung Huong village, Tam Quang commune, Tuong Duong district.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Khac Linh, Political Commissar of Tam Quang Border Guard Station, said: “This is an activity to concretize the directive of the People's Committee of Tuong Duong district on poverty reduction support of district-level agencies, departments, units and schools located in the area in 2014 of Tam Quang Border Guard Station. At the same time, it is also an activity to express gratitude to the people in the area who have joined hands with the Border Guard in building, managing and protecting the border with the motto "Peaceful people, strong border", practically celebrating the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2014) and the 25th anniversary of the National Defense Day (December 22, 1989 - December 22, 2014)".

When we were in dire straits and didn’t know how to escape poverty, my family received invaluable care and support from the Border Guard Station. My family promises to take good care of the cows so that they can reproduce and help our family escape poverty sustainably. My children and I are very grateful to Tam Quang Border Guard Station!”
