Tam Quang Border Guard Station gives gifts to poor students who overcome difficulties
(Baonghean.vn) - Implementing the program "Helping children go to school" launched by the Provincial Border Guard Command, on January 7, representatives of Tam Quang Border Guard Station visited and presented gifts to Vi Thi Bia, a student of class 2A, Tam Quang 2 Primary School, a Thai ethnic child in Tung Huong village, Tam Quang commune, Tuong Duong district.
In the presence of school representatives and family members, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Khac Linh, Political Commissar of Tam Quang Border Guard Station, personally handed Vi Thi Bia a gift worth 1 million VND taken from the "Helping Children Go to School" fund voluntarily donated by officers and soldiers in the unit every month.

It is known that Vi Thi Bia is the eldest child in a family of two children. Her mother died in a tragic accident in mid-2014, her father is a freelance worker, and her family is poor. However, she has the will to excel in her studies and is one of the outstanding students of Tam Quang 2 Primary School.
Previously, Tam Quang Border Guard Station also organized 2 gift giving sessions for La Thi Nga, Thai ethnic, 12th grade student, Nghe An province's Ethnic Boarding High School, residing in Tung Huong village (Tam Quang, Tuong Duong) with a total gift value of 1.5 million VND to practically encourage her to study hard to become a good citizen of the locality.
