Assign 3 universities to focus on in-depth training in atomic energy
That was the conclusion of Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam, Head of the National Steering Committee on human resource training in the field of atomic energy at the 7th meeting.
After listening to the summary report of the Government Office on the implementation of Decision 1558 of the Prime Minister approving the Project “Training and developing human resources in the field of atomic energy” and the opinions of the delegates attending the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam concluded to continue to effectively implement the plan to develop and train human resources in the field of atomic energy. Especially preparing forces to serve the Ninh Thuan nuclear power project.

Specifically, the Ministry of Education and Training was directed to assign the University of Natural Sciences (VNU-Hanoi), Hanoi University of Science and Technology, and Dalat University to focus on specialized training in the field of atomic energy. Other training institutions according to the planning of Project 1558 continued to organize enrollment and training according to the assigned majors.
In addition, the Ministry of Education and Training will coordinate with the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the Vietnam Electricity Group to urgently develop a project to invest in equipment and laboratories serving training and scientific research for training facilities in the planning of the Project.
Ensure economical, targeted investment, consistent with the content and training program of each school, avoiding over-expansion and duplication. Submit to the Prime Minister for consideration and decision in the second quarter of 2015, to promptly balance and arrange medium-term investment capital for the period 2016 - 2020.
At the same time, the Ministry of Education and Training synthesizes and evaluates the results of 5 years of implementing Project 1558 (2010-2015 period) and reports to the Steering Committee at the end of 2015 meeting. On that basis, consider and report to the Prime Minister on the supplementation and amendment of Decision No. 1558 of the Prime Minister approving the Project "Training and developing human resources in the field of atomic energy" on the number of human resources and training time to suit the reality.
