From January 20, sellers on social networks like Facebook will have to declare and pay taxes.

This is one of the contents of Circular No. 47 issued by the Ministry of Industry and Trade. According to this Circular, when an individual sets up a booth to sell on social networks, he/she must comply with the regulations on the responsibility of the seller on the e-commerce trading floor.

Sellers need to provide complete and accurate information such as: name, address, phone number, personal tax code (if any) to the owner of the e-commerce trading floor when registering to use the service.

At the same time, sellers must also provide full information about goods and services as prescribed when selling goods; provide their business situation when requested by competent state agencies, to serve e-commerce statistics activities.

Online sellers must also fully fulfill their tax obligations as prescribed by law.
