Thanh Chuong District Party Committee: Deploying Party building tasks in 2015

(Baonghean.vn) - This morning (December 31), Thanh Chuong District Party Committee held a conference to review Party building work in 2014 and deploy Party building work in 2015.

Attending the conference were representatives of the Party Building Committees of the Provincial Party Committee and Party organizations under the Thanh Chuong District Party Committee.

In 2014, Thanh Chuong District Party Committee and the Party organizations as well as the political system in the district focused on leading and directing the implementation of socio-economic, defense and security targets and tasks. 28/32 basic targets were achieved and exceeded the plan. The growth rate reached 10.62%. Total social investment capital for the year was 920 billion VND, reaching 112.2% of the plan, up 23.3% over the same period. In particular, the focus was on site clearance, coordination to speed up construction and completion of the new Dung bridge, the road from the district center to the Ban Ve hydropower resettlement area, phase I. Budget revenue reached 115.12% of the provincial estimate, up 10.6% over the same period. Average income per capita reached over 21 million VND/year. The work of building new rural areas was promoted, creating a more prosperous rural appearance.

The cultural and social fields continued to change positively. Administrative reform and ensuring social order and safety continued to be strengthened. Party building work was comprehensively directed in all political and ideological aspects; attention was paid to organizational and personnel work; inspection and supervision work was strengthened, Party discipline was strictly maintained; attention was paid to mass mobilization, propaganda, and mobilization of all classes of people to compete in labor production, economic restructuring, legitimate enrichment, and mutual assistance in hunger eradication and poverty reduction. The activities of the People's Council, People's Committee, Fatherland Front and mass organizations continued to be innovated and improved in quality, contributing to improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the political system from the district to the grassroots level.

At the conference, the District Party Committee and the Party Central Committees also focused on assessing and analyzing a number of limitations and shortcomings in the leadership and direction of the Party Committees, the management and operation of the government and the activities of the Fatherland Front and mass organizations in each specific field and aspect. That is, the leadership and direction of the implementation of economic development tasks has not created a breakthrough to create momentum and leverage for development. The leadership capacity and fighting strength of a number of Party Central Committees have not kept up with the requirements. The management and operation role of the government in a number of areas is still limited, such as violations in the implementation of social policies; violations in the implementation of population policies - family planning; the effectiveness of citizen reception, handling of complaints and denunciations is not high. The conference also discussed the goals, tasks, targets and solutions for 2015 to achieve at the highest level the goals and targets of the Resolution of the 29th District Party Congress, term 2010 - 2015, creating the premise and motivation for the next 5-year term (2015 - 2020).

On this occasion, Thanh Chuong District Party Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 8 Party Cells that achieved the title of "Typical Clean and Strong" in 2014. 17 Party cells under the grassroots Party Committee achieved the title of "Typical Clean and Strong" for 3 consecutive years (2010 - 2014) and 63 Party members achieved the title of "Party members who completed their tasks excellently" for 3 consecutive years (2012 - 2014) were also awarded Certificates of Merit by the District Party Committee.
