SLNA Club President elected to VPF Board of Directors

With the absolute trust from the General Meeting of Shareholders, Mr. Vo Quoc Thang was re-elected as Chairman of the Board of Directors of VPF Company for the 2nd term, 2014 - 2017. Mr. Nguyen Cong Khe was elected as Vice President in charge of Communications & Sponsorship. VFF Vice President Tran Quoc Tuan was elected as Vice President in charge of VPF's professional affairs.

The remaining 4 members of the Board of Directors are Mr. Pham Ngoc Vien, Mr. Bui Xuan Hoa, Mr. Nguyen Hong Thanh and Ms. Dinh Thi Thu Trang. The Congress also elected the Board of Supervisors including Ms. Nguyen Thanh Huong (Head of the Board) and Mr. Nguyen Nam Hung and Mr. Nguyen Giang Dong.

At the Congress, one of the most interesting things was the report on the activities of the Board of Directors for the 2011-2013 term and the 11 months of 2014 as well as the report on the business results of 2013 and the expected business results of 2014. According to the announcement, VPF's charter capital in 2013 was nearly 23 billion VND, revenue was 98 billion VND and profit after tax was 1.5 billion VND. In 2014, up to November, the charter capital was over 30 billion VND, revenue was 121 billion VND, profit was over 35.8 billion VND.

In addition to financial work, the Congress heard reports on achievements in the first term, such as: security work, anti-corruption, travel support, accommodation and allowances for supervisors and referees... The Congress also frankly looked at the shortcomings, such as: unsportsmanlike phenomena, in-depth management of player education, limited fundraising and communication work...

With the message “Community sharing, sharing benefits, looking towards the future, reaching out to the ocean”, the Congress also set out the direction of activities for 2015, which is: Encourage clubs to strengthen their youth force, open training courses for young coaches; actively seek and exploit domestic and foreign funding sources, strive to achieve sales of 80 billion VND; improve communication efficiency, increase the number of spectators in V-League to 9,000 people/match, First Division is 4,500 people/match…
