(Baonghean.vn) - During three days from November 20 to 24, at the Vietnam Exhibition Center for Culture and Arts (No. 2 Hoa Lu, Hanoi), Nghe An participated in the Vietnam - Hanoi Sea and Island Culture and Tourism Week 2014.

Attending the event were representatives of the leaders and specialized departments, the Tourism Promotion Information Center of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Nghe An. The Vietnam-Hanoi Sea and Island Culture and Tourism Week 2014 was organized under the direction of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Central Propaganda Department, the Ministry of Education and Training, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the Navy Command, the Border Guard Command, the Coast Guard Command, and the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Association.

Participating in the event, Nghe An focused on introducing cultural heritages, sea and island tourism of Nghe An, images of sea tourist destinations: Cua Lo, Bai Lu, Bien Dien Chau, Quynh Luu ..., displaying and introducing traditional handicraft products of island residents; introducing and displaying Nghe An's sea specialties such as: shrimp, dried shrimp, dried squid, dried yellowstripe scad ... and a variety of souvenir products such as key chains, bracelets, trumpets made from sea snails ...

Within the framework of the event, there are also many art performances with typical values ​​of the heritage of the regions participating in the Sea and Island Culture and Tourism Week such as: antiphonal singing (Quang Ngai), folk songs: Vong cau dan ca tu bien (Nghe An), folk performances: Ba trao cau ngu (Quang Nam), traditional songs: Tam tinh nguoi linh bien (HCMC)...

This is an opportunity for Nghe An to introduce, promote and honor the unique cultural values ​​of Nghe An's sea and islands to the people of the whole country and international friends; call for and attract investment, create momentum for economic, cultural and social development for the province. At the same time, this is also an opportunity to educate generations of young people, students and pupils to raise awareness of the cultural heritage of Vietnam's sea and islands, the sense of responsibility and role of each individual to join hands to protect and preserve the homeland's sea and islands.
